Dining Room reservations are offered for dinner and weekend brunch; walk-ins are available at our bar and community table.Young Joni is the recipient of 2019's James Beard Award for "Best Chef Midwest"; it has been featured in the New York Times and Vogue, and on Netflix's "Chef's Table: Pizza." Tucked discreetly behind Young Joni is the back bar, serving full and no-proof craft cocktails and pizzas in a warm, analog setting. Esquire named it one of 2019's Best Bars in America and Eater called it an "Essential Minneapolis Bar."     My boyfriend and I went to Butcher & The Boar for Valentine's Day and it was perfect! The food was phenomenal— the long rib was so tender, the cheddarwurst sausage was delicious, the chive + sour cream mashed potatoes were the best mashed potatoes I've ever had. Our server, Ian, was wonderful! He was attentive and fun! Highly recommend Butcher & The Boar!

    Since we went on valentines day it was a set menu. The food itself was great and now I want to go back to try the regular menu. We stayed at the hotel (hewing) also so we went back for breakfast and that was amazing!

    Beautiful space. Delicious food and drinks. Dont be fooled by bad cutlery! Despite struggling to cut my steak, it was a tender, melt in your mouth filet. Perfectly cooked. Waiter (Cole?) was very prompt and friendly. I appreciated him being present when needed but not overly hovering so we could talk on our rare date night out of the house. Appetizers and entree portions were appropriate for the price. Food and drinks came to the table quickly despite it being Valentine’s Day - I would usually expect slower times due to busier day. Reservations worked perfectly, walked in the door and brought immediately to our table. Had asked for a booth in our reservation if possible and we got seated in a booth. Hostesses were all very nice. I couldn’t have asked for a smoother, more pleasant experience. As a working mom who rarely gets to get out of the house for fun, or out on a date night - I couldn’t have been happier.
