Tierra del Sol is a restaurant that takes its name from the Mixtec song, a melody that has become an Oaxacan hymn.Just like that nostalgic song, this place celebrates in its own way the culture of an exceptional people: the Mixtec or ñuu savi; the first does it with her poetry and the second with her food.Our chef: Olga Cabrera, cook, is the architect of such gastronomic praise, and she achieves it from the knowledge and respect for an ancient cuisine that she inherited from the women of her family and her community, Huajuapan – in the heart of the Mixteca region of Oaxaca -, a knowledge that seasons with his special passion for traditional dishes.

Hoy en día cuanta con dos restaurantes Zandunga Sabor Istmeño y La Zandunguera donde su compromiso es otorgar a la gastronomía istmeña el lugar que se merece; una de las mejores cocinas del estado de Oaxaca. El patio principal es acogedor, los salones son especiales para momentos inolvidables y la Mezcaleria es una de las mejores selecciones de mezcales de la ciudad

    Di 4 estrellas porque manejando la reservacion con Vds. era muy complicada. El numero de telefono no funciono. La senorita que recibe los clientes a la entrada nos dijo que hay que usar Open Table. Entonces fui a Open Table y hize mi reservacion, recibi mi confirmacion en correo y cunado llegamos el siguiente dia al restaurante, mi reservacion no estaba registrado con Vds. (la senorita en la entrada). Yo la ensene mi confirmacion, esperamos en la puerta de entrada, ella corriendo por aqui y por aca, hablando con otros. Al fin acepto nuestro reservacion. Era demasiado stress en fin para disfrutar su lugar. Entonces 4 estrellas y eso era liberal

    This restaurant is so lovely. It is beautiful, the service is great, and the food is amazing. Great value, as well. The chef had made me a vegetarian soup that was not on the menu. It was the best soup i have ever had and i had to go back and have it again.
