Taxim, which is located in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood, features regionally-inspired Greek dishes paired with an all-Greek wine list. The stunning dining room is fitted with soaring 16-foot ceilings, travertine marble floors, dramatic Byzantine-style lamps and artwork, and the rooftop dining area lined with Greek flowering herbs.The restaurant was chosen as one of of Chicago's Best New Restaurants in 2009/2010 by the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Magazine and the Chicago Reader. Additionally, Taxim's housemade yogurt with young favas and lamb confit was selected as one of the Best Bites of 2009 by the Chicago Reader, the house-cured sardines were mentioned in Time Out Chicago's 2009 "100 Best Things We Ate (and drank) This Year" feature, and the wood-grilled octopus was selected as 2010's "Best New Dish" by Chicago magazine.     Our first time at Lyra was really wonderful. The service was excellent. Our server Tassos was fantastic as were the runners and all the others involved in taking care of us. The food was incredible. We had the breads and spreads, octopus, lamb gyros and the Loukoumodes (Greek donuts). Everything we ordered was delicious and the flavors were just so fresh and bright. The made in house pita is perfection. The flavors of everything were familiar yet modern and new at the same time. The space is gorgeous. We went on an absolutely freezing, February night and felt like we were a world away. We had a fairly early 6pm reservation on a Thursday and by the time we were leaving about 7:45pm the entire restaurant was filled and really buzzing with great energy. There were only two of us and we will go back soon to be able to experience more of the menu. This is definitely one of our new favorites in Chicago. Well done by everyone involved at Lyra.

    Andros Taverna is such a great spot to get Greek food that has a really nice flare to it. There are lots of Greek places in Chicago that are really casual. At Andros, everything is really fresh, and all of the dishes have a good little elevation to them that makes them feel very authentic, but also really exciting. The space is really well done. It's nice enough that you feel fine dressing up and having a fancy date, but cool enough that you can come in a tshirt and jeans. It's a great balance. Our service was really fantastic. The host greeted us really warmly and took us straight to our table, and our server walked us through everything, and did just the right amount of checking in on us and paying attention to when we might need more drinks or be interested in some additional dishes.

    We recently dined at Elia for the first time and were thrilled with our experience! Mustafa, our attentive server, made sure we were well taken care of. The food was outstanding—don't miss the Chef Selection Mezze and the mixed grill platter for two, both offering fantastic variety. Each dish was beautifully presented, and the team was incredibly hospitable. We can't wait to come back!
