Situated in the idyllic Hampshire village of Chawton, The Greyfriar at Chawton faces the home of Jane Austen. However, this award winning pub-restaurant has far more to recommend it than simply an interesting location – a relaxed, warm atmosphere and great food among its positives. The quintessential British pub, The Greyfriar is full of olde worlde character, from wood beamed ceilings to brick fireplaces and horse brass hung bar, not to mention the wonderful South facing garden, a must for traditional English summer drinking and dining.
