In the Royal Lancaster Hotel, the Nipa Thai restaurant has been named after the original Nipa Restaurant in the Landmark Hotel in Bangkok. Lots of teak panelling, traditional Thai furnishings and artefacts lend an authentic air. All the staff dressed in traditional Thai costume are from Thailand - even the lady chefs. This authentic Thai restaurant is one of the first 15 recipients of the 'Thai Select' award - this award has been described as being the first ever Michelin-style award for Thai restaurants proven to be performing to the highest standards of quality and cuisine, and is awarded by the Thai Government. We think this award sums up Nipa Thai rather nicely. What's cooking? Kai Haw Bai Toey - deep fried marinated chicken in pandanus leaves, Kaeng Kiew Warn Kai - chicken in green curry soup, also recommended the Nipa platter - a selection of the chef's special Thai starters.

Our menu encompasses carefully selected dishes from Asia, all prepared using traditional Chinese, Thai, Malay and Singaporean disciplines. We believe that Asian food should be clean, fresh and healthy, and that each dish should always be made from scratch.Originally established in 1997, ULI Notting Hill is well established as a firm favourite among locals and critics alike. At our newest location at the south end of Seymour Place, ULI Marylebone serves lunch and dinner all week as well as an extensive range of snacks, cocktails and beverages.

Lovely local restaurant with fantastic food and wonderful staff. I go with friends occasionally but this time with elderly parents and it was every bit as good. Light and bright, good atmosphere but not noisy!

Excellent food, great atmosphere, very welcoming hosts! The overall experience couldn't have been better. Both all you can eat options (sushi and tempura) were absolutely delicious and without the usual limitations (time and quantity) provided by other restaurants of this type. Highly recommended!
