A relaxed wine-led rooftop restaurant with panoramic views of Manchester City Centre, a daily changing menu, and a cellar with more than 400 different wines to choose from.Climat is the second site from the team behind Covino, who set up shop in Chester's historic city centre back in 2016. The team has since forged a reputation both regionally & nationally as a fiercely passionate wine-led restaurant with exciting daily changing menus.Head Chef Luke Richardson best describes his style of cooking as 'Parisian ex-pat food' - a nod to his time spent cooking in the cosmopolitan kitchens of Paris.As the name 'Climat' might suggest, our cellar of more than 400 different wines has a slight lean toward our favourite region of all - Burgundy. Outside of Burgundy you’ll find a healthy selection of other favourites from around the world, with wines from small producers, to the more iconic, and all the top vignerons that sit between.

Higher Ground is a British bistro and bar located in Manchester city centre that focuses on seasonality within the UK using produce sourced from local suppliers and producers. The restaurant is open Wednesday to Saturday at dinner and at lunchtime on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.At lunch a £40pp seasonal sharing menu is offered alongside an à la carte menu. At dinner, both an à la carte and a seasonal sharing menu at £58pp are available. Both menus are available when sat at the kitchen bar counter.We often hold space for walk-ins at the kitchen bar counter so pop by and have some plates and a glass of wine!Reservations of up to twelve guests are accepted via the OpenTable online reservation platform.     Lovely relaxed atmosphere even though nice and bustly! The waiters were very knowledgeable and gave lots of advise on the menu! Food was amazing!! Every mouthful was delicious! Left Fold feeling happy and very full!

    Great ambience, fabulous food and although it was a really busy service, we didn't feel rushed or neglected at any stage. Catered for the wide range of needs in our group with food that, while beautifully presented, was very much focussed on great taste. We all left feeling well fed and enjoyed the drinks menu too. Will definitely be going back.

    Dined here with my girlfriend for our valentines meal, my steak was perfect however my girlfriend's steak came slightly overcooked; easy mistake to make it was very busy. We mentioned this to the staff and they were great. They allowed her to finish what she liked and gave us a full replacement meal with no extra charge even gave her a filet steak when she initially ordered the rump. The lady who served us was fantastic unfortunately I was unable to get her name however she was kind , understanding and reassuring when we mentioned the issue with her steak. Amazing customer service would recommend this to anyone looking for an amazing meal.
