Stella Van Buren is a fresh take on the Italian-American steakhouse with the flavors of a classic Italian kitchen, modern style, unique design and food that appeals to today’s diner. Slow-cooked meats and flavorful house-made pastas are the traditional comfort-food classics that Italians have been roasting, baking, curing, and making in their own kitchens for generations. Bruschetta -- spicy tuna and buratta -- was delicious. Calamari should have been tasty too but was way overdone. Shared a burger, and it was outstanding -- caramelized onions, tomato jam, cheese, and a perfectly done burger, who could ask for more? We'll be back.

First timers on 11/16/24. Everything about our visit was outstanding. The food (I had the Pork Chop and my wife had the Walleye) was perfect. Even the basic side salad was interesting and delicious and thoughtfully prepared. Being a distillery, the cocktails were fabulous. The room was inviting and social and still "private" enough. Will be going back. Been a long time since we've been so pleased.
