The Late August name derives from the joyful time of year when the Sears catalog would arrive at your doorstep, bringing a deep desire and wonderment to all who would receive it and begin feverishly circling the items that would hopefully arrive for Christmas.Our restaurant, set in the previous Historic Downtown Sears building, seeks to bring that same wonder to guests through its atmosphere, service, and cuisine. Echoing the mission of Lucille's Hospitality, which is committed to “Serving the Past, Feeding the Future,” Late August’s menu explores the culinary heritages of Chef Chris Williams and Chef Sergio Hidalgo by bringing the dishes and flavors from both their youths and the experiences to date creating a culturally culinary celebration.

Located in a former auto shop in the vibrant Montrose neighborhood near The Menil Collection and Museum District, Clark’s Houston is the third and largest location of our popular neighborhood oyster bar and seafood restaurant.     Three of us met for lunch there today and had a perfect experience. I got the Yardbird, 1/4 fried chicken (I chose white meat) and it was some of the best fried chicken I have had in recent memory. It came with collard greens and mashed potatoes, both of which were great, although the potatoes were a bit dry. A friend got chicken and waffle with same fried chicken on a good looking waffle. The other got the bacon-cheeseburger with ground and braised beef. It looked totally awesome with hand cut fries. All the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Our server was attentive and checked on us a couple of times without being intrusive. I would strongly recommend this restauarant!

    I always enjoy Field & Tides. Today, I introduced a friend to the restaurant. We were there for lunch and ordered the Brussels sprouts & fried oysters for our first course. Our main consisted of the jerk sandwich and the beet salad. Both were delicious and my friend now wants to introduce her hubby to the place. Thanks F&T!!!!

    Outstanding dining experience! The origin of the cuisine made it even more delightful to try. The staff and service were outstanding. I think I tried half the menu, even things upon reading that I wasn’t sure that I would enjoy. I would go back 1000 times.

    Best food ever! The staff was wonderful, the chef is charming. The food was so good and the desert was something to write home about. We will be back in two years . Gumbo 5 stars. Fried chicken 5 stars can’t say enough about this restaurant and they accommodated a large group
