Alexis, our server was somebody I would like to know anytime! She is an achiever, personable, and highly professional… as well as interested in us and who we were.! And then the food…all three of us had outstanding results with the choices we had taken from a quite extensive menu. Everything was beautifully prepared and served, but there were really creative, unexpected results from the chef to make these choices exceptional. We were all so surprised and grateful. Astute Alexis, our delightful server picked up on this and invited the young chef, John to come out to visit with us. Having been experienced myself and well traveled with wonderful dining opportunities, I believe that if he does not lose this optimism and willingness to take chances on his creative but knowledgeable skills,he is going to be very well-known someday.I almost asked for an autograph! He was so personable he persuaded us to have a dessert we hadn’t planned on, and it was way beyond anything we had dreamed of. The sassafras chicken is one of our favorites. Shrimp and grits, salmon, steaks are all very good. Side dish choices are perfect accompaniments. The service and hospitality are spot on.
