Pony is located in Sydney’s oldest cobblestone laneway within the historic and bustling dining precinct of The Rocks offering inside and outside seating. Tugged away between George St and Kendall Lane we're right there but so hidden at the same time.Recapturing the convivial spirit of Sydney’s formative years, the original sandstone walls of The Doss House bring warmth to our unique basement bar which features a beautiful terrace area and rare original fireplaces.Built in the 1840s, what we call The Doss House today has been the home to a rich, eclectic collection of tenants including a boot maker, boarding house, doctor’s surgery and opium dealer, some which have been entwined within the interiors of the five, cosy bar spaces.

The rooms can be used as a function or event space, or as private dining rooms.     The Grounds Coffee Factory is truly a unique spot to enjoy a stylish ambience with lovely people from the warm welcome in the beginning to the great service in the restaurant to the lovely goodbye. We not only tried the delicious, perfect lunch, coke with vanilla ice cream (super delicious even if it sounds crazy in the first place) but also enjoyed banana split and obviously the fantastic coffee. The lovely waitress Eva really made our stay perfect and treated us with so much warmth and kindness. Our factory tour beforehand with the amazing Emerson was an adventure too. He truly followed his passion to share his devotion for coffee and included us fully in his tour, answered every question and made us feel very welcome. Every single interaction was just so nice and we truly enjoyed how special each and everyone treated my family and me. Thank you so much - we'll be back! Lena, Fritz & Michele

    We ordered the Kangaroo Skewers, Yellowfin Tuna and a Tomahawk steak, along with broccolini and pumpkin as sides to share. Every dish was excellent. It exceeded our expectations, and we would highly recommend visiting for an incredible meal. We plan on going again.
