Malin is a small neighbourhood restaurant in the heart of Rathdowne Village, Carlton North. Set in an 1880s property on the corner of Curtain and Rathdowne streets, the site has been renovated to honour the heritage of the building. The food menu, developed by Chef Clement Pilatre, samples European cuisine and showcases seasonal produce and frequently changing dishes. The drinks list favours emerging wine producers, while also giving a nod to the classics.     My partner and i were so impressed. Such a beautiful ambience, the food was incredible. We had the duck boa buns (probably the best I've ever had) and lots of other share plates and cocktails. The service was amazing, they always checked to see if we were after more drinks, and constantly topped up our water. I loved how they spread out the meals, so they weren't coming out all at once. Will be highly recommending this restaurant to my friends, and will be returning. Thank you all for a beautiful night out.

    Took my partner here for her birthday and the food was an absolute ripper! We had a Fiano wine that went perfectly well with our food. The owner was very warm and welcoming . Highly recommend

    We have been to Spensley's close to 10 times now over the past year! It is our favourite place to come for a relaxing and tasty meal. We bring all our visitors here (we are originally from the UK) to showcase one of the best restaurants we have found during our time in Melbourne. The food is spectacular for the value (feed me menu is always worth it!). We will be becoming back!
