Welcome to The Sidings, a unique destination brought to you by Carriages Restaurant. Nestled amidst serene landscapes, The Sidings combines a farm shop and café to offer an immersive experience for train enthusiasts and culinary connoisseurs alike. Our exquisite First Class carriage café, adorned with elegant art-deco elements, provides a one-of-a-kind dining experience from 10am – 4pm, Wednesday to Saturday, and 10am - 3pm on Sundays. Our carriage Farm Shop, open from 10am – 5pm, Wednesday to Saturday, and 10am - 4pm on Sundays, features fresh, seasonal, locally produced products, ensuring quality and sustainability. You can book a table for inside the café, however walk ins are welcome. We are only dog friendly outside on a lead, unless they are a service dog. The award winning Carriages restaurant is uniquely located within the allpay ltd campus in Whitestone Business Park, Hereford, and has been described as "City chic in rural Hereford". Carriages was inspired by founder Tony Killeen's passion for trains and the quirky setting of the restaurant, which overlooks the old Whitestone railway station.You can enjoy views of the rolling hills from the floor to ceiling windows in the top floor restaurant; dine inside or alfresco, on the spacious balcony, or walk the landscaped grounds surrounding the Four Seasons lake - which transforms into a maze of secret gardens, impressively lit up at night. Carriages is open Friday and Saturday evenings.For bookings over 6 and/or to book our free mini bus service, for use after dining, please call 01432 852303 or email carriages@allpay.netDue to the nature of the restaurant, any children dining must be over 12 years old and accompanied by an adult.Dress code is strictly Smart Casual.

    Having been to the Ivy Cardiff a number of times, Ivy Asia was a different eating experience with the same quality and ambience. A Wednesday lunchtime with a friend, we chose the lunch deal which was excellent value. The food was beautifully presented and very tasty with a touch of spice. Service was extremely good and pre lunch cocktails at the bar were expertly made. I did like that the beautiful washrooms were on ground floor level. Overall it was a very good lunch.

    Lovely place with a nice ambience. Staff were friendly & Service was excellent. Food was delicious, every plate we had was tasty & wine was good. Cannot fault the place it was a wonderful night.

    We had a wonderful evening. It was my husband’s birthday and two friends joined us. Every dish was absolutely Devine. I don’t think any of us left anything on our plates. The service was excellent. The two young ladies were friendly and tentative without being over baring. Thank you to those two ladies, We appreciated the way the tables were well spaced out so we weren’t overhearing other conversations. The background music not too loud and the whole ambiance was just perfect. Good to know we have at least one restaurant in Hereford that have it just right. Thank you Carriages for a lovely evening. We will certainly be back. We all wish you were open more evenings. Any chance of that over Christmas or New Year?🤞

    Just a nice relaxing atmosphere for lunch. Food wasn’t complicated but excellently presented and really tasty. Girls serving couldn’t be more helpful and polite. We love treating ourselves to a meal at Carriages or the Sidings, we will be back!
