Tucked away on Lafayette Park, just a block from the downtown and seaport neighborhoods of Salem, MA, The Babe is the perfect place to rendezvous after work for a cocktail, grab a bite with friends, or get together for a late night celebration. The Landing was first established in 1972 and has withstood the test of time and the elements. Located on Marblehead Harbor our "On the Water Harbor Views" can't be beat. Chef Noe Ortega brings culinary excellence to each dish and our service is comforting and professional. Our Deck and Patio offer great views and atmosphere with Fresh Seafood right form the dock. Along with Steaks, Duck and plenty of Vegetarian and Gluten Free offerings you'll be sure to find what your looking for on our menu. We are on the water in the Historic District and close by Fort Sewall and Crocker Park as well as the Jerimiah Lee Mansion. The restaurant was great. The food was outstanding: an order of popovers to start, a roasted duck breast for me, a baked salmon for my wife left us so full we couldn’t get to dessert. The parking was a challenge and it was pretty noisy but our server, Martina, was attentive and friendly so we were very happy with the whole experience and will definitely be back

From the drinks to the food - everything was delicious at 1606! We shared quahogs and crab dip for appetizers and then shared the fish and chips and mac and cheese for dinner. We were too full for dessert, but maybe next time! Our waiter was friendly, attentive and efficient. It was our first time dining here and we will be back.

Our Bartender was excellent! The food was amazing! We got the steak and eggs and the breakfast wrap! Absolutely amazing!! Can’t wait to go back! But the star was the lemon ricotta donuts served warm with homemade jam!!!
