Ghee means PURE and has a symbolic meaning both spiritually and in the kitchen of an Indian home. The restaurant encompass traditional Indian home cooking, ingredient driven using local artisan purveyors. Chef Niven highlights the experience of dining at Ghee: "I want to my guests to walk into Ghee with the sense of entering my home. I want them to feel at home. I want them to smell the aromas and spices and get more engaged in their meal. One of the things that I always tell my cooks is, ask questions, be inquisitive if you don’t know. The food was fabulous!! The service was very good. However, the music was so loud in the dining room that we had trouble hearing each other. We requested the dining room as we were told it’s a quieter area.

The food was very good-better than I expected. We ordered the pizza with pepperoni and the chicken parmigiana with pasta. Both food items were very good, but the service wasn’t. The initial server took approximately 8 minutes to greet us and bring the water. We didn’t walk out of the restaurant because we were with my elderly mother and we didn’t want her to have to move to another restaurant. We ordered right away and the order came out within a reasonable amount of time. While we waited for our food the server did not come to refill our water glasses or check on us. Another server brought our food and was courteous and quickly brought us the extra plates that we requested. Once we were done eating the initial server came back and asked if we wanted a box for the remaining pizza slices. It took several minutes so I just grabbed a to go box that was on a shelf near the bar. The quality of the food was good so I will give him another chance but this time I’ll set the bar.
