FKABAM is a place for fun. We take our food seriously, but not ourselves. Tables are close together, and the atmosphere is loud and vibrant. Grow is hidden haven in Hackney Wick with a heated and covered terrace next to the River Lea. The menu is inspired by Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine with an emphasis on sustainability. Our menu is primarily plant-led but we also offer ethically sourced meat options. As well as being a cosy spot for brunch, lunch, coffee and chat, you can expect a broad range of live music & performances on weekday evenings and DJ led events on the weekends. Inspired by yakitori izakayas, Big Night is going to be putting seasonal British-ish produce on sticks and cooking it on our charcoal grill. The food will be simple, loud and fun, perfect to be eaten with a beer in hand and friends at your side.The menu will draw on a variety of influences rather than pretending to adhere to the concept of an authentic cuisine (this is not a Japanese restaurant). With respect to traditions, we will be cooking with integrity and creativity with ingredients and flavours that we love and are passionate about, in a way that is innovative rather than traditional, and most importantly, tasty tasty delicious. Spectacular brunch, four of us sharing. Wanted everything - ended up having several things twice. Vietnamese eggs splendid, the breadMac (“Return of the Mac”) a work of genius and the banana ‘pancake’ banging. Thanks so much!
