In one of the most idyllic settings. This 17th Century building sits above a shallow slope to the Thames and enjoys both a sunny veranda balcony and a pretty paved garden right on the riverside.Apart from one or two extensions over the years the pub building remains relatively untouched, giving it a traditional pub feel.Festooned with flowers and plants outside in summer and warmed with log fires in the winter it’s been a very special local in Twickenham for many years.

Welcome to The Magpie. We pride ourselves as a beautiful riverside gastropub with an amazing dining room overlooking the Thames, serving fresh seasonal food with an impressive range of real ales, craft beers, an extensive gin list and a great wine list.We offer full table service in every part of our premises. Met up with some former work colleagues on a Wednesday night for dinner. Pub was relatively quiet, service was excellent. Food was really good. Definitely recommend, especially in summer when you can sit outside by the river.
