The Poisonnerie was suprb The service was fantastic and it was a beautiful day so having lunch outside on the Thames was a wonderful experience as was meeting my second daughter totally unexpectedly

We were a table of six that came for Sunday lunch for my birthday. We had all of the roasts covered (except vegan), a burger with all of the trimmings and a kid’s bolognaise. All the food was excellent, with good sized portions. The service was friendly and attentive but not overpowering. My only negative and I shouldn’t complain because we don’t see the sun for my birthday, in March, very often was that it got pretty warm under the glass, it would have been nice to open a few windows for air. Thanks very much for a fabulous meal.

Gilbey's is the perfect place to stay and eat on a trip to Eton and/or Windsor. Comfortable, quiet, and spacious accommodation; lovely restaurant with delicious, inventive, and reasonably priced food; and courteous and helpful service.

We stopped in fur a brew mid afternoon and a client near us was nibbling on a plate of meats & cheeses which looked delicious. We then popped back at 9pm for cocktails & Hamish created our favourite French Martinis & Pip was an amazing hostess. The ambience on Friday 28/2/25 was just perfect with background music blending with conversations. A little gem of an establishment…and opposite our hotel too…win win!

Love the food. Really lovely staff Drinks and food came out really quickly.
