A new, growing-led “British Tapas” restaurant from the teams behind Chef's Table and Growing @Field 28. The menu features an inventive and daily-changing selection of vegetarian, vegan, meat, fish and game plates, each dish is crafted from Field 28's daily harvest of pesticide and biocide-free heritage produce and specialist leaf, served alongside a selection of hand-crafted cordials, cocktails and wines. Our venison, always a hugely popular part of our menus, is harvested from herds on estates that focus on improving biodiversity and deer health – a process we call Farming the Wild.

In the warmer months its fully retractable doors create the ideal inside/outside space. The restaurant has also been given a fresh new look creating a vibrant place to dine. For main meals, the new spring/summer menu includes wonderful seasonal dishes such as Orchiette Pasta with Fennel Sausage, Wild Broccoli & Shaved Scamorza and Roasted Rack of Lamb with Fondant Potato, alongside established favourites like hand-stretched stone-baked pizzas and Sunday roasts.     Oh my goodness we had a beautiful meal, the starters and desserts were exceptional. We chose several from the snack menu. Tempura prawns were outstanding. The mains were really good, only issue was monkfish still had water residue that sadly diluted the Thai sauce, and potatoes oil the venison dish were a tiny bit over salted. This didn’t affect our overall experience and the restaurant was very busy due to valentines night. More staff would have helped reduce waiting times and probably the tiniest faults mentioned. These were not worth mentioning at the time as staff were doing their very best. Mentioning now for management feedback. Will definitely visit again! The starters and desserts were the best we’d ever tried!! All Staff so friendly and welcoming!

    A brilliant experience! Chose the valentine menu and thoroughly enjoyed it. 5 courses of incredible food, flavours and appearance were all delicious and served in good time with style! Excellent value for money! An amazing evening will definitely return soon.

    We thoroughly enjoyed the food. The dishes, small plates akin to tapas, were delicious and inventive. We particularly enjoyed the BBQ Octopus and fresh Anchovies. It was an informal and relaxed dining experience that we will certainly repeat in the future.

    The food was exceptional as was the value as there was a 2 for 1 menu which we did not anticipate. I booked for my daughter's birthday and they immediately welcomed her with a 'Happy Birthday' and a glass of prossecco. Such a lovely touch. The service was excellent and very attentive. I would not hesitate to recommend and we will definitely be returning.

    Really beautiful pub renovated to a sensitive but modern standard, cosy and tasteful interior. Friendly helpful staff, great and well priced menu, fab for families (I visited with my 8 year old). Worth travelling for and we will visit again. Met the high standard we expected from regularly visiting the market halls also operated by this group.
