We’re striving to push the boundaries with Indian flavours, but with cooking techniques from all over the world, some traditional, and some very modern. At Opheem, I’ll be using the same paints as I’ve always done, to create a very different picture, on a very, very different canvas. Why? Pho is a healthy Vietnamese restaurant with loads of vegan and gluten free options. We specialise in pho, the Vietnamese noodle soup, and also serve delicious curries, rice dishes, wok-fried noodles and healthy salads, too. We also have loads of starters that are perfect for sharing with friends and family. Over a third of our menu is vegan, and nearly all of it is gluten-free, so we are a great destination for people who follow those particular diets. We are accredited by Coeliac UK. Itihaas restaurant in Birmingham is one stunning eaterie. This beautiful restaurant —the name means ‘history’ -- is the £2 million brainchild of businessman Raj Rana and it’s been raking in awards since it opened its doors. The décor is contemporary meets traditional with two dining rooms honouring colonial and maharaja eras – there are slate finished walls, original paintings, carved stone elephants, Jali marble window frames like those found in Mogul palaces and elegant black sari-clad hostesses.     The place is very beautiful. I particularly enjoyed the food and was surprised by the portion sizes, very generous. Service was excellent! Food came in good time within 10 minutes and the Thai bubble tea was to die for! The waiter was very polite and nice and responded promptly to our requests. 10/10 no notes

    Welcome was enthusiastic polite and friendly. Service was very good... Although my main course arrived seconds after I had finished my starter. I would have liked a little more time to settle my starter. Wine [Nero d'Avolo) was excellent.. overall a very pleasant experience. I will certainly go again. Itihaas was recommended to me ... I in turn will certainly recommend to others.. many thanks and compliments to all the team at Itihaas

    Absolutely outstanding. Superb food, and the warmest of welcomes from Aktar and his team. The food that comes out of Aktar’s kitchen is sensational. Whatever he and his team do in there may well be some kind of witchcraft. The Aloo Tuk alone is like little you will have tasted ever before. Not so cheap, but for this level of food and service, it is in my view absolutely worth the money. Smash that piggy bank, cash in that ISA, butter up your rich Uncle Desmond, but do try to experience this amazing, amazing, phenomenon at least once in your life.
