Itihaas restaurant in Birmingham is one stunning eaterie. This beautiful restaurant —the name means ‘history’ -- is the £2 million brainchild of businessman Raj Rana and it’s been raking in awards since it opened its doors. The décor is contemporary meets traditional with two dining rooms honouring colonial and maharaja eras – there are slate finished walls, original paintings, carved stone elephants, Jali marble window frames like those found in Mogul palaces and elegant black sari-clad hostesses. Lovely Time. Food Was Good. Starters was lovely. A Little Dissappointed With The Sanpei Chicken For The Main, it was bland and the chicken tasted boiled. no flavour. however the Nyonya Lamb was delicious

We were fortunate enough to have Akhtar on service. Our overall experience was superb from the moment we entered Opheem. We have eaten at numerous Michelin starred restaurants throughout the country. Opheem is certainly as good as any. Front of house and serving staff are excellent and prepared to go the extra mile. Loved it! We’ll be back.

The service and all was lovely but the food my turkey rashers were stale my beans brown was chipped on the side and the bowl just looked a mess my sausages were abit cold I didn’t really enjoy my food as much
