Built in the early 17th century, this grade two listed pub is the oldest coaching inn in Frodsham, originally having stabling for 23 horses. The stables can still be seen opposite the rear of the pub, as can the coach house with its large white doors.Known at the time as The King's Head the name was changed when Queen Victoria came to the throne in 1837.

A new, growing-led “British Tapas” restaurant from the teams behind Chef's Table and Growing @Field 28. The menu features an inventive and daily-changing selection of vegetarian, vegan, meat, fish and game plates, each dish is crafted from Field 28's daily harvest of pesticide and biocide-free heritage produce and specialist leaf, served alongside a selection of hand-crafted cordials, cocktails and wines. AA 2 Rosette restaurant. The Forge Restaurant in Chester is one of Chester’s best restaurants with delicious food and unrivalled service. With a passion for wild, sustainable British ingredients, and a love of simple cooking over fire and charcoal. The Forge has its kitchen front and centre in the middle of this lovely, and elegant space. Incredible dry-aged beef and wild venison will be found in the maturation cabinets, awaiting their turn on the amazing forge grill, to be lovingly grilled and roasted over beech logs. Head chef Dan Regan, a passionate chef, heads up the young, vibrant team in the kitchen. Combining amazing, wild, sustainable ingredients from land and sea into sumptuous creations that form really memorable eating experiences. We focus on British ingredients, as local to Chester. Our venison, always a hugely popular part of our menus, is harvested from herds on estates that focus on improving biodiversity and deer health – a process we call Farming the Wild.

The Ring O’ Bells is located in the heart of the picturesque Cheshire village Christleton. Recently extended & fully refurbished to the highest standard the unique plush interior creates a fabulous ambience and compliments the pubs picturesque surroundings.The addition of The Glasshouse, a contemporary new extension, gives an exciting dimension to the pub, creating a spectacular dining environment perfect for hosting any special event. In the warmer months its fully retractable doors create the ideal inside/outside space. The restaurant has also been given a fresh new look creating a vibrant place to dine. For main meals, the new spring/summer menu includes wonderful seasonal dishes such as Orchiette Pasta with Fennel Sausage, Wild Broccoli & Shaved Scamorza and Roasted Rack of Lamb with Fondant Potato, alongside established favourites like hand-stretched stone-baked pizzas and Sunday roasts.     Went for breakfast as we fancied somewhere different. Had the pancakes and coffee . We enjoyed our visit and would gladly go again.

    Oh my goodness we had a beautiful meal, the starters and desserts were exceptional. We chose several from the snack menu. Tempura prawns were outstanding. The mains were really good, only issue was monkfish still had water residue that sadly diluted the Thai sauce, and potatoes oil the venison dish were a tiny bit over salted. This didn’t affect our overall experience and the restaurant was very busy due to valentines night. More staff would have helped reduce waiting times and probably the tiniest faults mentioned. These were not worth mentioning at the time as staff were doing their very best. Mentioning now for management feedback. Will definitely visit again! The starters and desserts were the best we’d ever tried!! All Staff so friendly and welcoming!

    We thoroughly enjoyed the food. The dishes, small plates akin to tapas, were delicious and inventive. We particularly enjoyed the BBQ Octopus and fresh Anchovies. It was an informal and relaxed dining experience that we will certainly repeat in the future.

    The food was exceptional as was the value as there was a 2 for 1 menu which we did not anticipate. I booked for my daughter's birthday and they immediately welcomed her with a 'Happy Birthday' and a glass of prossecco. Such a lovely touch. The service was excellent and very attentive. I would not hesitate to recommend and we will definitely be returning.
