Owned and managed by husband-and-wife team, Daniel Crump MCA and Margriet Vandezande-Crump, the restaurant was crowned the 2024 AA Restaurant of the Year (England). Based in a 17th century coaching inn in the heart of Beaconsfield Old Town, it has also been voted an OpenTable Diners’ Choice, one of the most romantic restaurants in the UK, and named among the top 100 restaurants in the country by SquareMeal.     This is a delightful pub, with good lighting, superb food and great, friendly service. We shared the monkfish Wellington special and it was sublime. It could have done with a tiny bit less salt, but otherwise it was perfection, the flavours of the vermouth, the nicely seasoned pomme purée and the jus went so well together and we felt the concept of a non-beef Wellington was exciting and bold. And it worked!! Paired it with a very nice Chenin blanc. Our antipodean waitress was quirky and charming and service was excellent. We shall definitely be back!

    We went to The Bank for Valentine’s Day and had a lovely evening. Our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive and looked after us really beautifully. The cocktails were great - I can thoroughly recommend the Chai Espresso Martini. The food was really delicious and interesting and we had two delicious little complimentary courses - a mango shot and a fudge like chocolate treat. The restaurant itself is very stylishly designed. We will definitely be going again. Amazing to have somewhere so good on our doorstep!

    I brought two friends here for lunch. Very friendly and attentive staff and the food was delicious, hot and fresh. Much appreciated on a cold January day. Good options of fish and a number of veggie options for non meat eaters.
