Set in London’s historic Leadenhall Market, our subterranean bar and grill offers an extensive wine list, a range of delicious cocktails and a barbecue inspired menu, using Josper grills to offer the very best indoor BBQ cooking over real coals. The closed Josper reaches exceptionally high temperatures sealing in flavour and moisture whilst adding a delicious smoky flavour. Our bar is the product of over 20 years’ work by couple Kay and Peter Sinden, who have now passed on the daily running of the place to their own children. Food overall was good. The Welsh rarebit for starters was good as was the roast for mains, although it could have more gravy, which wasn’t a problem when we asked for more. Service and attention to detail could be better. They forgot two of our starters which they apologised and deducted our starters from the bill. Water carafe and wine was neglected, which should be automatically topped up. Plus I asked for the heating to be turned on otherwise we would’ve kept our coats on. If they can refine those small details, then it would deserve 5 stars.
