Gloria Gati is the new restaurant of chef George Papakostas who jokingly refers to Gloria as the older sister of Vittoria Gati, another famous restaurant of his in Glyfada. Gloria is located in a historic building in the Athens center just 50 meters from Syntagma square. It is defined by an eclectic vintage design in a very cosy space where the pizza oven takes center stage. The bar serves award winning cocktails and over 100 wines from Greece and around the globe. The menu is Italian with a focus on homemade pasta and quality meats. The pizza is made from a 1937 sourdough and baked in a traditional oven imported from Naples. Some of the signature dishes include the steak tartare, arancini bolognese, the raviolo cacio pepe, the reginette al tartufo for truffle lovers as well as pollo francese and the ossobuco which is cooked for 12 hours. A tiramisu is a must here accompanied by a single estate espresso. Outside seating is available all year round in the courtyard of St George church

When Mr. George and his wife Maria decided after more than 50 years of experience in cooking and restaurant business to create "Gods' Restaurant" they couldn't have not respected these principles. At the family - owned "Gods' Restaurant" you will feel right at home with rustic and hospitable atmosphere. Mrs. Maria and their two sons along with the executive chef create authentic recipes from all over Greece, like grape leaves, the famous lamb "kleftiko", cheese pie with honey & Greek kebab “Sheftalia”. There are also some unique dishes which you can hardly find elsewhere, such as ravioli stuffed with beef & spices with red pepper & yoghurt-mint sauce, slow-cooked goat with pappardelle pasta, Cretan macaroni "skioufichta" and the caramelized octopus

PO'BOYS BBQ, Athens' favorite pop up street food hangout is finally getting its own space.​PO'BOYS, born out of the effort of Chef and Owner Vassilis Sporos to get acquainted with the authentic Southern BBQ and the low and slow smoked meats in the Athenian audience. The project made its first appearance at the Christmas Food Market in Kotzia Sq in 2016 as a food truck and became an instant hit. From March 2018, it found its new home in the historic neighborhood of Psirri, Athens and is hosting guests every day with love and attention. Won't lie, in the menu, smoked brisket is king but its burgers have a fanatic crowd. Bao Buns, Tacos, Mac N Cheese and Steaks will make their way to your table too. You have to try one of the 40 Greek microbreweries featured in the shop. It won 11th place for best BBQ Joint in Europe in 2019 (Big 7 Travel) and voted best street food place in Athens for 2020 (Readers of Athens Voice).

    Clean, delicious, and authentic Greek food. The staff could not be nicer, and the entire café smelled like lilies. It was a great experience. I will go back every chance I get.

    The people at OpenTable are lovely as is the ambience. My friend recommended this restaurant because her family toured Athens 10 or more years ago and her son still talks about the fish he ate here. I, of course, had to have that fish and know I’ll talk about it for 10+ years too! My children also enjoyed the grilled shrimp and moussaka! When you’re in Athens, Greece, don’t miss this place!

    The ambiance is loosely Thai themed & the restaurant is relatively comfortable. Ideally I would want more comfort & a more traditional Thai feel but most importantly the place is clean. The portions are above average size & the food is good. There is a variety of menu options. Maybe it could be a bit fresher but it came out quickly which is good because we were hungry. The staff are extremely friendly & attentive. The service is very good. Also, important to my family, they spoke English fluently.
