So casual that our four young children can enjoy their favourite foods by their favourite chef comfortably once a year when we travel to Chicago. Service is friendly, tentative, and genuinely kind. Our 13 year old devoured his beef Wellington and sides. Salads are tasty and large, truffle fries scrumptious, idiot sandwhich also a must try. This year, we ordered off the “verbal” kids menu. The butter pasta was surprisingly delicious for our picky pasta lover however the portion is very small and isn’t offered with a side or drink, it was not enough to fill our small 6 year old. Our ten year old also ordered one and had it as a side to her 1/2 beef Wellington. My dad ordered the goat cheese fig jam burger, and my brother and I split the flaming cheese wheel pasta with blackened chicken on the side. We all drank tap water. We were blown away by both the food and service. We made a reservation less than an hour before we wanted to eat, and we were sat immediately. Our server was very polite, and knew the menu well. The food was delicious, and it made its way to our table quick and hot. Our waters were always full, which usually doesn’t happen because we typically drink far too much for a server to keep up with. We all left stuffed, and they even let us take home some of their pasta for lunch the next day.
