Michelin-recommended since 2022.We first imagined Aloette to be the perfect diner that we’d want to dine in – a menu with a great cheeseburger paired with a fantastic and fun wine list, a long row of bar stools facing the bar and the kitchen, and an energetic atmosphere accented with an old school hip hop playlist. The buzz of the dining room mirrors the energy of the street on Spadina Avenue; the dining room itself mimics a train’s dining car. It’s a bistro-meets-diner-meets-internationally-inspired menu which is also representative of the diverse culture in Toronto. Our service team is upbeat and genuine but also deeply knowledgeable about the menu and offerings. Brunch at Aloette was something we said we’d never do. But the city kept asking and we’re glad to be a new staple in the Queen West neighbourhood for mimosas, chicken and waffles, and piping hot coffees. Amazing overall experience! Chef's special was super delicious. Our waitress was very friendly and welcoming. We were attracted by the design of the space, but we were actually surprised with the food quality and service level.

My first time at the king Street location and the ambience was great. Initially I loved it. My issue was with my order. I ordered two espresso martinis made with tequila instead of vodka and they both came loaded with some kind of hot pepper! My throat and lips were burning after I tried it. That was a major mistake in my opinion that unfortunately turned me off of the drink even though the waitress was apologetic and brought new ones. I understand mistakes will be made but when the bill came I was also charged 4 times for the two drinks that were originally laced with hot pepper! I didn't get the drinks removed from my bill for the pain of the first sip (long lasting burning in my throat and lips) and for the inconvenience. I think that is what should have been done in that situation. Other from that unfortunate experience, I enjoyed the restaurant.
