The food and service were outstanding! You can get lost in all of the wonderful offerings in their store. Such a great idea to eat in such a lovely ambiance. Our food was beautifully plated and delicious. We opted to eat half our servings in order to try some of their desserts! We were not disappointed! And we got our leftovers packed away to eat later. This was a beautiful experience from start to finish... We will be back soon!

This is the best tasting food and drinks I ever had in Long Island. I went for the Valentine experience and the food was so good. For the Valentine experiences I was expecting a little more, maybe a live music, etc.. But the food and drinks were amazing.

We live around the corner and have been meaning to go here--Valentine's day felt like the perfect opportunity. Once you step in, you're transported away from the casual vibes of the Upper West Side and into an elegant fantasy that reminds you to treat yourself. Notable moments: The service here is perfect--our waitstaff were so kind, efficient, and helpful all the way through. They aren't stuffy and are, in fact, very human, but they provide that upscale service all the same. The food is gorgeous. The Valentine's prefixe was $75 a person. My partner got a plate of calamari as an app that was big enough to share, and the escarole salad I chose was lush and bountiful. Our pasta mains were well-portioned, not to mention al dente and seasoned to perfection. We also received two desserts for the pre-fixe price--both of which felt like gourmet iterations of homestyle favorites. It's kind of like this whole restaurant. The ambiance is relaxed yet upscale. My partner and I are by no means fancy people, and yet, we felt welcome! We saw people of all backgrounds and dresscodes come and go. There's a buzz of conversations around you, but it's not so loud that you can't have a conversation. The only slight discomfort we experienced was that our table was kind of wedged next to another table and the main hallway where the waistaff hung out--we assumed maybe they overbooked for the night and had to make new tables--but it was worth nothing more than a giggle and asmile once we realized. And hardly took away from the experience. Instead, it was a great vantage point for people watching and the perfect place for attentive service.

Went for the prix fixe menu for our Valentine’s dinner. It was on the pricier side ($200+ pp including alc), but every aspect of the dinner was spectacular. Unexpectedly met with rose pedals on the table and a (optional) raspberry cocktail. All of their cocktails looked incredible on other tables, but we split a very nice Cab. All the courses were amazing, moderate amounts, but after four courses we were filled up. Wagyu tenderloin and carrot cake were 12/10. Will definitely be going back for a dinner with the regular menu in the near future. If you don’t mind the cost, then the Valentine’s dinner is a special date night experience.

I must echo the comments of anyone who calls the alderman a hidden gem. It is truly a little oasis in the hub of Times Square with some of the best food and service I’ve had in a long while.  Everyone we encountered was professional, polite, friendly, relaxed, and service was on point at all times. A special shout out to Hersey at the bar and our server Ethan, who was just tremendous honest and very attentive, to the lovely manager, a young blonde woman whose name I forgot sorry. Had the perfectly prepared salmon and flirt steak entrees from the prix fixe menu plus ALL the other TASTY courses and they were very generous portions, very satisfying and a wonderful value. Cannot recommend this enough if you are going to a show or you just want to have an enjoyable evening dinner lunch or just a coffee from the front barista station. The ambience is warm and tasteful. Like sitting in a garden! Just terrific. You won’t be disappointed.
