My girlfriend and I celebrated her birthday at Saloon Osaka off Imperial Ave and had a good experience. Before dinner, we enjoyed some plane watching at Clutter’s Park, which set a relaxed tone for the evening. The food was delicious— we ordered the gyu-don, unagi avocado bowl, four handrolls (two toro and two salmon), and two pieces of aji nigiri. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. However, when it got busy, service lagged a bit. One server seemed unfamiliar with the menu, and with only one sushi chef handling all tables, our waits stretched longer than expected. In fact, I waited an extra 10-15 minutes for my aji nigiri, though I ordered it in the middle of the meal. Despite these hiccups, the attentive staff made it right by offering us a complimentary dessert after noticing our delay. Overall, while the pace could use some improvement on busy nights, the quality of the food and the restaurant’s commitment to customer satisfaction made our birthday dinner a worthwhile experience.

The food was great! Im not a vegetarian or vegan but everything we ordered was very tasty. I would go again and take people.

Fabulous!! Big undulating bar that is able to accommodate a lot of people, enjoyed the energy in this section of the restaurant while waiting for our table. Upbeat music. A nice surprise to see the depth of the restaurant walking past the bar. There is a middle section with a great fireplace and a few tables with a warm ambience. Past the fireplace area are more tables and the sushi bar at the back. Food and drinks were amazing. We loved the spicy tuna crispy rice… A must try! Overall, a fantastic spot in the heart of Abbott Kinney🤩

What a great experience. Booked dinner here for Valentines Day. They have every woman a rose - CLASSY. The food was terrific as usual!
