Located in a former auto shop in the vibrant Montrose neighborhood near The Menil Collection and Museum District, Clark’s Houston is the third and largest location of our popular neighborhood oyster bar and seafood restaurant. Opened in Fall 2023, Clark’s features freshly shucked oysters, crudo, lobster roll, daily fish specials, caviar and blini, bowls of chowder and cioppino as well as a much-loved burger and shoestring fries.The restaurant specializes in martinis and signature cocktails as well as an extensive Champagne and wine list. The design is light, bright, and airy with nautically-themed touches including a centerpiece fish tank, teak wood furniture, bright white walls, and blue and turquoise tones.In addition to a marble-topped oyster bar and dining room, there’s a large, covered patio for prime people watching and oyster slurping. Clark’s Houston also offers a semi-private dining room for special occasions and events.

Brasserie 19's sophisticated yet unpretentious interiors are bathed in deep blues, cool greys, and whites, with antiqued woods and white marble used throughout. Liberty Kitchen & Oysterette (LKRO) prides itself in it’s Oyster Bar. The multiple use seating at and around the Oysterette is inviting and friendly. The huge oyster, fresh seafood and whole fish display showcases seasonality and the vastness of the seafood offerings at LKRO. A traditional Japanese Robata Grill and a vertical 'Trompo' Grill are part of the Oysterette’s flexibility in a small space making the 'mini-kitchen' capable of producing freshly shucked oysters, grilled oysters, sushi, seafood towers and fresh carved tacos.Moving into the main kitchen, the menu is just as wide and deep with a variety of local and regional seafood dishes and local Texas Beef. Jim Goode's love of seafood was born from a childhood spent along the sun-soaked Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coast.     Everything done right. Great oyster selection and quality. Fantastic shrimp cocktail. Crab cake was excellent. Octopus and Tuscan Kale also delicious. Service was responsive, knowledgeable, and friendly. One of the best seafood places from the standpoint of both food and ambience in a loaded category in our city.

    First time here, the food was great! My server was not the best but I will be going back. Maybe it was an off day for her. Back to the food, I went there for the fried chicken and it did NOT disappoint me. It was fresh and hot just the way I like it.

    Our waiter Terrod was very attentive! He heard my husband mention us being married for almost 25 years when he was blessing the food and Terrod added that special message to our dessert. I just thought that was so thoughtful! Now the managers or host not sure who he was, was terrible! Both walked right past us and stopped to ask how the people in back of us were enjoying their food. The guy manager never said a word to us and we were in the very first table. He just seemed off.

    Food was great, drinks were great; only drawback was when the waiter brought our bill “he said, we have another party coming in ten minutes”. Ruined the entire evening with that one statement. Certainly made it feel like we were a number and they needed to flip the table. Revenue is important as are tips for the servers; but my recommendation to management is to work with the people to find a way to flip tables without the customer feeling pressured to “get out”.
