   The ambiance was superb. The service was excellent. The cocktails were delicious. The food: I have to say the we were overwhelmed with how underwhelming the food was. Nothing wrong with the food but it just ordinary. I understand that there’s only so much that can be done with an avocado, and I probably expected something unreasonable, but I did anticipate a different take on my dish. My wife’s chicken scramble was good but a bit plain; the spinach salad accompaniment was delicious. Presentation was great.

   This is the second time we’ve been to Sunda and this experience was just as good as the first. The first time we got drinks and a couple appetizers and were full enough that we didn’t need any more food. This time around we got cocktails, the beef lolipops app and several rounds of sushi. The sushi was phenomenal and we were stuffed. Service in the bar area at the high top tables was great even though they were packed. We’ll be back a third time to try some main courses!

   Drew (GM) and Jeremy (Waiter) were absolutely amazing! We had a larger party and they moved a lot of tables around to accommodate us, as we had a bunch of people from out of town. The food, drinks, and service were amazing! Jeremy absolutely nailed it! His suggestions were ON POINT! Amazing experience all the way around.

   We had a great meal at Sunda! Loved each item we ordered - jalapeno hamachi, oxtail potstickers, seaweed salad and Szechwan chicken. We also had a couple of interesting and delicious cocktails - saketini and strawberry fields. Our service was great and food was brought out quickly. Nice vibe in the restaurant and beautiful decor. Music was a little louder than I would have liked, but not a significant issue. Will definitely be back.

   Bao buns are a hit! Hard to find good (safe) sushi in a city not near water but Sunda is a fave. I like their noodles and plates are shareable so you can choose multiple options.

   The food was delicious. The service was great. The restaurant was clean. Bathrooms are nice and clean. Drinks are delicious. They have mocktails as well. Definitely will be back.

   My wife and I shared the tiger shrimp tempura (appetizer), it was very delicious. She then had Yuzu Tuna and said it was VERY good but portion was too small. She helped me finish my NY Strip steak, very well prepared with rice and some sauteed greens= quite tasty! To finish up we then shared a desert called Ridiculous. Best described as vanilla ice cream encased with a kind of ginger cake, smothered in a caramel like syrup and candied walnuts. All that plus 4 cocktails, 2 hours (roughly) and $250 (including tip) later made for a very memorable experience. Definitely worth it in our case.

   Every time we visit Nashville, we have to visit Sunda. The food quality and attention to detail is absolutely impeccable. The servers and rest of staff are always attentive and caring. The filipino food month menu specials were a great added bonus to an already delicious menu. We always share a handful of items when visiting, and this time was no different. The pork belly steamed buns, toro sashimi, curry scallops, and red dragon roll were perfect for us to share and be full. We were also pleasantly surprised with a delicious filipino dessert to end the night. Do not sleep on Sunda. It's amazing.

    Went there mostly for the toro nigiri, but had some other great apps. Sushi Chef gifted us some mackerel nigiri that was also delicious. Always have a good experience here.
