   Public Fish & Oyster continues to offer the best seafood and raw bar in the area. The wine list is first rate, there is always something tempting among the specials, and the service is great as well. We are so fortunate to have this place in town.

   Outstanding fried oyster app. Ate them with my salad that accompanied the lobster roll. The oysters with the salad are a taste sensation! The lobster roll (CT) was delicious. A very tasty toasted roll with a really generous filling of lobster. My wife had her "go to" fried oyster Po Boy and she loved it, as always! We were going to a concert and need to be efficient. The service here at happy hour is always great!

   This place is VERY casual - don't worry about what you are wearing. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and extremely helpful. My wife had their crab cakes, and I had their Pro Pan Roast (shrimp, clams, mussels, oysters, haricot verts, cherry tomato, basmati rice, curried lobster sauce, crostini). Both were excellent. I would suggest omitting the crostini as mine was almost impossible to eat; one bite and I tried no more.

   We were a group of six celebrating a birthday and friendship. Our server was awesome: funny, informative, efficient and a part of the celebration by the time it was all over. The food was absolutely amazing—as always! Lobster rolls, halibut, oysters and the BEST key lime pie in central Virginia. The staff (John in particular) was great about getting us a table that worked well for our group and also just a part of the fun. We love this place!

   Everyone there worked together to make sure we were happy. Being our 29th wedding anniversary and out of town, they did a beautiful job making it special. Everything, oysters, crab legs, mussels, corn, just everything was fresh and cooked perfectly. We WILL be back!
