29 Markle Ct. Awarded "Best New Restaurant 2023" & Nominated "Chef Of The Year" 2024 by the Connecticut Restaurant Associations "CRAZIES Awards". Upscale New American Cuisine, focused on local, coastal ingredients and smoked methods of cooking. Exec Chef, @chefdamondaye.

We gladly accept walk-ins at the bar on a first come first served basis. A 15-minute grace period is allotted to your arrival time should you run late. After 15 minutes your reservation will be released and offered to guests on our waitlist. All guests must be present to be seated. Tables are reserved for one & half hours. For parties of 6 or more, a $25 per person credit card hold is required to confirm your reservation. No shows and or unconfirmed cancellations risk forfeit of held funds. If you would like to book a catering event or a reservation for a larger party (8+), please send an email to restaurant@29marklect.com. All larger party requests must be confirmed and require a credit card. Thank you.

    This was our first time visiting this gem of a restaurant in downtown. Amazing service and the food was top notch. Next time we visited will make sure to reserve a table in the front room, where the bar is. The “overflow” room in the back was too dark and quiet; it had a much different vibe from the lively bar room.

    Have been there several times and it was great. Last night the service was not as good - waited for a long time for drinks. The burger was overcooked and the made it again. On the positive side, the smoked half bird was excellent. And the staff is always lovely.

    It’s time to give a review. My husband and I dine at 29 Markle Food frequently. This is a gem in Bridgeport. The food is delicious and never disappointing - kudos to the chef! . Owner is warm and personable. They have a good thing going on there.

    Highly recommend!! Had an amazing dinner here from start to finish. The service was impeccable. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the broccolini for appetizer and for dinner. I had the scallops with risotto and also the strawberry margarita was delicious. I will absolutely be back.

    The best dining experience I have had in a LONG time. The vibe of the restaurant is stylish yet comfortable, the waitstaff was knowledgeable, friendly, and on-point. But the food... out of this world. We split lemongrass mussels for an appetizer - more than enough for two, where my date asked for a spoon for the broth. The entrees were halibut and salmon special, the salmon came with a smoked rouge sauce that was hands down the best sauce to go with fish I've ever had. My date cleaned her plate of the halibut and said the combination of flavors on her plate was divine! I had goat cheesecake and we split the apple tart for dessert - both absolute winners. And the coffee was locally roasted, super fresh, and the perfect way to end the meal!! The chef also came out to say hello and ask how everything was! Can't wait to go back!!
