    Table was ready on arrival, food was average . Service was shocking , extra drinks were added onto bill and when this was noticed and questioned member of staff admitted they had added extra drinks and asked if we wanted them . The burger meal is supposed to include a drink , I requested a bottle of water and the member of staff pointed to a jug of water and glasses in the bar , I pointed out that bottled water was included in the meal . Had requested a jelly pot for children’s meal , when I went to bar to request they brought it out , they tried to charge again for it , I had to repeat several times that it had already been paid for . When it was eventually brought out it was in fact a pouch of squeezy jelly . I would not return and definitely not recommend. Shocking service !! Wouldn’t have given 1 star 🌟 if it was an option .

    Very good food was lovely a little disappointed you had run out of steak so had fish and chips and a lasagne which we couldn't fault will deffo come back thank you

    Good equality gif money a few more chips would have been good and my salad had no dressing on it whilst others did - - we found thd booking systdn easy tk book regarding the eTon mess deserts no strawberries two pieces of meringue and little cream it was disopointing only 2 pieces of meringue but no strawberries in mine But plastic sundae dishes for dessert these were not acceptable we were inside as well ,

    A nice relaxed inexpensive meal in good company plus a god selection of real ales. Perfection!

    Disappointed the worst meal i think i have ever had.Wwe are regulars at the Abbey it can be a little hit and miss but generally ok i Couldn't get into the pie it was rock hard , the roast pot the same, the veg over cooked and watery a complete waste of nearly £15.00.When asked if all ok i never mentioned it as my husbands meal was fine, and i thought i would let it go.I would normally recommend the Abbey and still will but on past meals
