Sorry to say that after many positive experiences, my recent lunch this past Friday was a poor one. I was disappointed that no one read the notes that it was a birthday celebration and that the request to sit in a certain area was unaddressed. I was told by the owner there was only one waiter and he could not walk that far between areas. This one waiter was virtually non-existent. It was not that busy yet it took a long time for him to acknowledge us. When he did, he seemed distracted. When the food came. four of the entrees were ok but two were horrible. Not one time did the waiter ask if everything was ok. The eggplant lasagna looked like someone had covered it in a mass of cheese- it was unappetizing and bland. The shrimp in my fettucine pasta was so hot I burned my mouth even though the pasta was lukewarm. After a very long time, plates were cleared by the bus girl who was trying hard to keep up. Not once did I see the waiter help. There were also the owner, a host and another guy who looked like a manager who did not help at all. The coup de grace was at the end. The waiter never came back to present the bill. I had to hunt down one of the managers to get it. It seemed as if no one cared that they were open. As we were celebrating a birthday, I did not want to say anything in front of the other people. 20% gratuity was automatically added which I feel only the bus girl deserved. I am sad about this experience as I have always enjoyed this restaurant. At this point, I am never going back.

The food was okay. But they are having some sort of big problem and our table was beset with gnats. In our food and flying into our wine. You’d think we weee at a picnic! When we told the server (who was wonderful) she said the building was having some sort of issue. Not on a hurry to eat there again.

We had a wonderful birthday dinner. Waiter was very friendly. Food was excellent, overall service was excellent. We would go back again.

We've been fans for years, but our recent lunch experience ranks as one of the worst ever at any dining venue. We were told that the main dining room was too loud for our group of three, and we were placed next to the kitchen, where the clanging of pots and pans and shouts from the chefs and workers made it barely possible to hear one another. The food was even worse. One member of our party ordered the clams and mussels. Half of the mussels were empty shells, and there were only two clams in the bowl, In addition, the dish was served cold, not a hint of warmth. The other two dishes were the grilled salmon, and each piece was drenched in the same cold sauce that was used for the clams and mussels. The server is likely new to the business of waiting tables because she persisted in reaching over the heads of diners to deliver the food rather than placing herself behind the person whose order was being delivered. We can't say that we'll be back soon, which is a shame. As you can see from our reviews, we've been to this place numerous times. We'd recommend avoiding the venue until they figure out how to achieve their former status as a worthy dining room.

Our server Luis was fantastic. Not only was he kind, but also very considerate in many aspects - making sure we don’t miss the last order before kitchen closes, getting us an extra bag for leftover boxes before we ask, and etc. Small things but that make you feel you’re being taken care of. Food was great in taste, as well as in portion that makes the price very reasonable. Very satisfying from starting bread to calamari appetizer, main pasta dish, and tiramisu dessert. The only thing that I wish to be better is coffee - had espresso & americano, and they both were missing a bit of flavor. Still quite decent, but not the best I’d say. I’d love to visit again to try other dishes I wanted to have!!

The food was good, especially the clam chowder. The server was pleasant, engaging but got my entree wrong. The location of the restaurant was discouraging as it was on a dark street where it was the only business open.

We really enjoyed our meal. The food was great, very good service. Enjoyed the "back room", which made you feel as though you were sitting in a street scene in Italy. In addition to the great menu, they had several specials, and special seasonal cocktails. Would definitely go back. Just note, the front doesn't look that inviting, (in addition to the street construction), but when you go to the rear of the restaurant, it is quite charming.
