Valentine’s Day experience. The atmosphere had a good vibe. It had an aesthetic appeal from the curb that flowed inside to the waiting area with very plush vintage chairs. There were two colorful rotating lights and a small waterfall near the hostess checkin area that had wires and plugs visible to the restaurant. This was tacky. We were seated within a few minutes after our reserved time slot. I noticed right away that even though we were seated at a high top that the chairs were very very comfortable and I was not uncomfortable during the whole meal. There was a bell that kept going off reverberating over the cacophony of noises that was kind of irritating. After being seated, I observed that it was a gold order-up bell. It went off regularly with 3 distinct chimes for a short while but then the kitchen got way behind and waiters did exactly that, they waited at the kitchen. Meanwhile, after putting in our drink orders and then choosing from the way overpriced limited menu ($150 straight for 2 people - which was not on the booking site - it was rated $$ but was definitely $$$). Anyway, gonna shorten this up. Waiting was fair since orders kept getting messed up for us and all tables around us. We waited at least 30 mins between each course. The proportions were skimpy. We had 1 margarita and water. Table next to us left without desert because of the wait. We almost did. When the cannoli’s came they were only bite size and devoured in seconds. Upon leaving, we were given a gift bag with candy and kiddy keychains. The food; what you actually come for, was really good. But all the rest of the aspects will make me choose something else in the future. They need to up their overall performance and proportions. I’ve been to other establishments where all was better at 2/3 the price. The regular menu had this issue too, we looked. 3 of 5 stars.
