Global Cuisine, Local Ingredients.

Authenticity also drives our food and cocktail program. Kevin, Oscar and Dani are obsessed with using only those ingredients that are closest at hand. Between our own farm and neighbouring suppliers, our ingredients don"t travel very far to your plate or glass.

At the same time we've been able to develop an extremely creative food and cocktail program, similar to what you might find in a large city. We're certain Los Cabos is ready for this type of experience.

Acre is a 25 acre piece of farmland adjacent to San Jose del Cabo. The restaurant, cocktail bar, event space and surrounding farms is the first phase. 12 tree-houses will be added to our palm forest shortly. Eventually the full 25 acres will be developed as a space for people to relax, learn, rejuvenate and celebrate.

                                                  A bit disappointing given it is a 1 star Michelin restaurant. The ambience was fantastic. Love the grounds, the bar and where we were seated to eat. It started to fall apart a bit when we were transitioning from the bar to main restaurant. We arrived early and were seated at the bar. All good. After a few minutes, we were told that the table was ready so we were walked to the reception area. There were a few minutes of back and forth between the staff but finally they took us upstairs. Once seated, we were asked about water for the table. We asked for sparkling water with lime. Water brought out but no limes. Had to ask two more times for the limes. Ordered appetizers and mains, asked that they not rush them, sadly mains came very quickly after the appetizers. End of meal and settling the check, waiter asked us to please “help us out and pay cash.” Given the drive up the steep dirt road to get there and the hype, a big disappointment.

                                                  Overall, Acre is a very unique experience that you shouldn’t miss. The ambience of being in nature and also in a very cool, trendy setting is definitely something to experience. Definitely do the tour so you can see the property which is so beautiful. The drinks were great, and the food was good. It is a bit pricey, but I think you’re paying for the experience. One thing, I felt we were a bit rushed to order so they can make room for the next reservation. However, I would still go back for the experience.

From the cocktails at the start, to the TOMATO SALAD, the small but well thought out wine list, and the tomahawk steak, with a bottle of chianti included!                                                   We had yet another excellent experience here. Great food, really good cocktails, and excellent food. This restaurant never fails to deliver a positive experience. Our only feedback is that they pump live band music playing in the bar area through speakers in the restaurant that is just too loud. We were on the opposite side of the restaurant in the outdoor area and we could hardly hear each other talk without raising our voices. Turn it down a notch or two or better yet just don't pump the music through the speaker system.
