Adalina is a refined hospitality destination serving a modern and engaging Italian menu in a timeless yet alluring setting in the heart of Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood. Led by Michelin-starred and Top Chef alumni Soo Ahn. Adalina’s menu creates a balance between Northern and Southern cuisine, providing expertly staged shared plates along with strong statement items that satisfy a table. Guests can expect house made extruded and stuffed pastas. Adalina’s offerings will be accompanied with tableside services, and a well curated beverage and wine program that aims to evoke a sense of excitement for guests. I booked our reservation several weeks in advance to celebrate our anniversary. Upon arrival, we were seated in the bar area. The noise level was so loud that my husband and I could barely hear each other. So it was not the romantic night we had planned. The service was only fair. The server was not great with offering recommendations and even her knowledge of the menu. Our food was very good however.

We had reservations 2 month ahead and they seat us where waiter/ staff come together and there was not enough of space to pass between tables which caused for me to sit at edge of my seat so staff does not hit or spill something on me. Very frustrating! Atmosphere in restaurant was very loud, dark and not enough space. Bathroom was smelling like someone just smoked joint. Very disappointing! Food: appetizers delicious, chopped salat not good, stake fillet are okay. Salmon and see bass where good, chicken plate was good too. Waiter seems new so nothing really to say except he was expectedly slow and drinks took a while, bottle of vine. So experience not so great, definitely expected better. Hope this helps. Thank you.

The experience was beyond amazing! The service was over the top, the staff was kind and knowledgeable. Our server recommended ordering several appetizers, salads, and entrees to share. Absolutely delicious!

For the prices that are being charged service should match. Our server, while nice, wasn't attentive. We sat with empty dishes on our table for an extended period of time. I started with cocktail and switched to wine. The finished cocktail glass sat on the table through us getting up after paying. The restaurant was 1/2 full when we sat down and when left. I can honestly check this one off the list, but there's far better Italian in the city that's less expensive and better service.

We noted that we were fans of Chef Soo from Top Chef at the start of our meal…and he came out to meet us! He even comped us a couple of items and was genuinely so thankful to have us come to his restaurant. The service was absolutely top notch and the food delicious!
