Adalina is a refined hospitality destination serving a modern and engaging Italian menu in a timeless yet alluring setting in the heart of Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood. Led by Michelin-starred and Top Chef alumni Soo Ahn. Adalina’s menu creates a balance between Northern and Southern cuisine, providing expertly staged shared plates along with strong statement items that satisfy a table. Guests can expect house made extruded and stuffed pastas. Adalina’s offerings will be accompanied with tableside services, and a well curated beverage and wine program that aims to evoke a sense of excitement for guests. Adalina makes the perfect venue for a romantic evening, business dinner or special occasion.

    Wasn’t as good as the first time we went, the lumache pasta tastes kinda funny and the Cesar salad was underdressed, and tasted like it was missing its core elements which make it so unique. The chicken Milanese though was fantastic, and the beef carpaccio was good too

    Overall we had a wonderful experience. Service was phenomenal, drinks were great, appetizers excellent. For fine dining we weren’t expecting such a noisy and crowded environment. Nonetheless, we had a great time.

    Experienced a hiccup when first seated, which was probably our fault. We noticed and commented on the noise in the dining area, and were seated in a deserted dining area; which seemed no fun at all. The hostess was gracious and seated us in the main area, and then the fun began. The cocktails were really good and the service was top notch. Unfortunately, I did not hear the server's name, but he was so patient, kept us entertained, and gave outstanding service. We ordered every course level, and every course was delicious. We ordered the gnocco fritto which was stupid good~ a pillow of pasta, aged prosciutto and the ricotta and honey made the whole thing just divine, then we each ordered a pasta course, which was a mistake, because we were full at that point, and then I ordered grilled branzino, which I finished, and husband ordered the veal chop parmigiana, which was HUGE and he still ate most of it. Then came Tiramisu with a Cortado, and Frangelico which capped off a wonderful evening. I would come back in a heartbeat and will recommend to anyone, whether they ask me or not. So thank you Adalina staff for a very memorable meal, and very happy memory.

    Great restaurant and great food/service but will only spilt a check maximum four ways. Kinda egregious with the amount of money you give them.

    The food was good overall put service was poor and lacking what is the norm for fine dining. It started out ok but after placing order it was difficult getting our waiter’s attention. We had cocktails with appetizers and noticed she had removed wine list. We requested wine menu which we received but she never returned to take order even after entrees were delivered. We got wine and after long wait unattended dessert menus were brought to us. We were celebrating birthday and they brought out dessert and sang. No one bothered to take dessert order or after dinner drink order for the rest of the table. We mentioned this to person refilling waters and finally waiter came. We ordered desserts and after dinner drinks. Desserts arrived quickly but 20 minutes went by and no drinks. Many at table were ready to leave so we flagged someone asked for check and said to skip drinks. Our waiter brought drinks and said they were free and defensively said she didn’t realize we were under time constraint. We were seated at 6 and it was 8:30. I don’t mind a leisurely meal but felt service was not smooth.

    I booked our reservation several weeks in advance to celebrate our anniversary. Upon arrival, we were seated in the bar area. The noise level was so loud that my husband and I could barely hear each other. So it was not the romantic night we had planned. The service was only fair. The server was not great with offering recommendations and even her knowledge of the menu. Our food was very good however.

    We had reservations 2 month ahead and they seat us where waiter/ staff come together and there was not enough of space to pass between tables which caused for me to sit at edge of my seat so staff does not hit or spill something on me. Very frustrating! Atmosphere in restaurant was very loud, dark and not enough space. Bathroom was smelling like someone just smoked joint. Very disappointing! Food: appetizers delicious, chopped salat not good, stake fillet are okay. Salmon and see bass where good, chicken plate was good too. Waiter seems new so nothing really to say except he was expectedly slow and drinks took a while, bottle of vine. So experience not so great, definitely expected better. Hope this helps. Thank you.
