A longstanding tradition at Hotel Vancouver, Notch8 is delighted to welcome guests for Afternoon Tea service from Wednesday through Sunday!

If your tiny tot is joining, we offer a Children's Tea featuring kid-friendly finger sandwiches, scones, and sweet treats. Afternoon Tea is served from Wednesday through Sunday only.

We are pleased to offer options catering to guests with specific dietary restrictions such as gluten-free, as well as dietary preferences including vegetarian diets. Please notify us at time of booking and we will be delighted to facilitate.

There is a 90 minute time limit for each reservation, if you have any questions or concerns prior to your visit please let us know.

Seatings Fridays/Thursdays at 11:00 am, 2:00 pm. Weekends at 11:00 am, 1pm, 3pm - 90-minute seating. $72 per adult, $40 per child aged 12 and under - price not inclusive of taxes and gratuities. Cancellation policy & reservation changes: kindly email HVC.Notch8@Fairmont.com a minimum of 48 hours prior to reservation to avoid a cancellation fee of $25 per person.

Having tea at the Hotel Vancouver is a nice experience because you are seated in the unique area at the back of Notch 8 Restaurant. The ambiance and the setting makes this experience worth it.

The vegan option was not good, I have been to many high teas, even at Fairmonts and this was disappointing. The bread was also stale. The presentation for one was underwhelming as well, the pieces barely stayed in place when delivered. The service was lovely and the room was beautiful but the food was not worth the value.

Attended the Lunar New Year afternoon tea and it was fantastic. The ambience and atmosphere of the room was thoughtful and whimsical and the food and service were excellent. Will absolutely return for another themed afternoon tea here.

The decoration is perfect! Very festive and beautiful! Love the presentation of the food. Taste wise, sandwiches are bit dry, curry pies are cold, I was expecting something freshly made and hot, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, but not to what I expected.

We had a fantastic time at high tea and our server was incredible and accommodating. The ambiance is so special, warm, inviting, and unique. They were able to make the most delicious vegan high tea for me which was fantastic and I will be back again in the future.

Review of Fairmont Hotel Tea Event We had a wonderful experience at the Fairmont Hotel's tea event. The ambiance was absolutely delightful, creating a warm and elegant atmosphere. The service provided by the staff was excellent—they were attentive, friendly, and made us feel truly welcome. One suggestion for improvement would be to include a wider variety of sandwich options, similar to what is offered at Victoria. Expanding the selection would elevate the experience even further. It would also be great if this event were held more frequently, as it’s such a lovely experience that many would enjoy attending more often. Overall, it was a memorable event, and we look forward to returning in the future!
