   ランチで訪問。カウンターとテーブル席がありカウンター席で頂いた。かなり混んでいて予約無しで入れない方もいた。カウンターで握りを頂いた。シャリが赤くて驚いた。海外で赤酢というのも珍しい。香りよく日本のクオリティと近い。ネタは注文後に切り、切り置きしない模様。左利き用に左向きに鮨を置いて頂ける。ネタも日本のもののようで日本のようなクオリティ。ウニがサンタバーバラ産で、出張の者としては、現地の食材が出るとありがたい。

   油の多いものばかり あっさりしたものが出てこない 味は濃い 店員はまあまあ シャリをもっと美味しく炊いてほしい

   Akikos is as close to a seaside table in Japan with bountiful choices of all the delicacies of the Pacific Ocean. Sushi was prepared with attention accenting the fish's natural flavor with ginger or wasabi. We had 2 birthdays to celebrate and Akikos' staff provided extra service to celebrate!

   A Disappointing Experience in San Francisco Last week, I had a very bad experience at a restaurant while visiting San Francisco. I found the place through the OpenTable app and made a reservation without realizing that it had a fixed-price menu of an unbelievable $255 per person. At no point did the staff inform us about the cost—they simply started serving the dishes. I’m from São Paulo and I’m used to this kind of dining experience, but not at that price. The food and service were good, but the lack of transparency put me in a very uncomfortable position. Because of this, I don’t recommend the restaurant, despite the quality of the food and service. The feeling of being misled ruins the entire experience. Transparency is key!

   Thank you very much for your review. We agree that transparency is key. When you booked an experience, the prices are clearly displayed, and you receive an email confirmation that includes both the menu price and the restaurant policy. If you overlooked this double confirmation, that responsibility lies with you. We strive to be 100% transparent. How much more transparency do we need to provide?

   I’ve been here a couple times over the past few years and the service was outstanding previously. It was just a miss yesterday. Wasn’t offered a drink or the add on for the toro toast. Hopefully this is just a one off as this is one of my favorite restaurants in the city. So disappointing :(

   Very approachable while still being exceptional quality. This is an omakase experience that lets the quality of the fish and the combinations of unique flavors shine. Would highly recommend.

   This is NOT good value for money No atmosphere Unfriendly / cold staff Location very business Menus are not flexlible, small portions and strarters are just not good very disappointing

   Excellent food, well paced plates. My only disappointment was my wife and I were still really hungry when complete. We’re not big people either, had to order several more plates after the already very expensive meal.

   The Omakase experience was absolutely amazing. I enjoyed every bite, normally I don’t care for one or two dishes at Omakase but not here. My only note is for those of us who get anxious easily. The 8:30 PM Omakase can be rough as they are closed and at no fault to the restaurant, you may feel rushed but they absolutely are not rushing you, just cleaning.

    Love everything about the place. The decor and design. The bar in the front. The atmosphere and of course the food!! We had an awesome experience!
