A Disappointing Experience in San Francisco
Last week, I had a very bad experience at a restaurant while visiting San Francisco. I found the place through the OpenTable app and made a reservation without realizing that it had a fixed-price menu of an unbelievable $255 per person. At no point did the staff inform us about the cost—they simply started serving the dishes.
I’m from São Paulo and I’m used to this kind of dining experience, but not at that price. The food and service were good, but the lack of transparency put me in a very uncomfortable position.
Because of this, I don’t recommend the restaurant, despite the quality of the food and service. The feeling of being misled ruins the entire experience. Transparency is key!

When you booked an experience, the prices are clearly displayed, and you receive an email confirmation that includes both the menu price and the restaurant policy. If you overlooked this double confirmation, that responsibility lies with you. We strive to be 100% transparent. How much more transparency do we need to provide?
