Was our anniversary. Had a 1900 booking. Stood waiting for 5 minutes at the door to be seated even though there were many empty tables set for service. Waited a further 10 minutes just for water. Waited so long with empty wine glasses I had to go to the station and fill up myself each time. Which I might add, was not on ice. So, given it was a hot night, our wine was totally warm by the last two glasses. Lovely way to enjoy a bottle of fiano. Food was pretty overpriced for what we got and the quality was poor. Not to mention the completely burned bread yet still stale tasting in the middle with the pate. Wait staff couldn’t have cared less about our table. The tables either side of us were even asking me to op up their wines too. We are very well practiced in fine dining and our expectations are high but also very realistic. This failed. To then be offered 2 glasses of champagne after serving ourselves half a bottle of warm white was frankly insulting. We will not be back and will also be passing our experience to other locals.
