Alter House Restaurant and Bar is a family owned Farm-to-Table Restaurant and Event Venue dedicated to seasonal, sustainable cuisine. It is our culinary mission to source the finest ingredients from regional farmers, artisan purveyors and local farms whenever possible. Here at Alter House Restaurant and Bar, sustainability is the forefront of our identity. The seasons will define our menu. Our goal at Alter House is to be the restaurant of choice in Northeast Pennsylvania.     Drinks and food were very good. Probably the best pork chop I’ve had in a long time. Filet Mignon was another good choice. Done exactly as ordered Service was good, our server was very friendly. I was treated to a dessert for my birthday, which was very unexpected and a nice touch. Not to mention a birthday card waiting for me on the table. Only downside is the noise level but overall a wonderful dining experience. We will be back!

    They have delicious and inventive cocktails, as well as delicious farm to table entrees. The staff is amazing, with a great overall atmosphere. The live music on Thursday nights is a definite plus!
