With sweeping views of the NYC skyline and the Watchung Mountains, Alto Rooftop sits on the 9th floor at The MC Hotel, Autograph Collection. Open year round, the menu features playful bar bites and a curated cocktail list that captures the eclectic spirit of Montclair. Alto is the place to meet for a relaxing lunch (Fri.-Sunday), date night or for sharing food and drinks with friends. Alto is where daytime drinks can turn into late night vibes.
Come and experience striking sunsets, signature cocktails, fun delicious bites, and curated vibe with DJs Friday and Saturday after 9PM.

Don’ t feel like it’s silly to believe, do you believe? If you do join us for Holiday Movie Trivia at Alto Rooftop on Wednesday, December 18 starting 7pm. Five unique and challenging rounds on your favorite holiday flicks. And remember the best way to spread Christmas cheer is to sing loudly for all to hear! Questions will focus on the following movies; It's a Wonderful Life (1946), Miracle on 34th Street (1947), How the Grinch Stole Christmas (1966), A Christmas Story (1983), Scrooged (1988), National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, Home Alone, Elf and Love Actually.

We're celebrating Christmas and New Years Eve all at once at brunch during Friends Brunch Trivia "The One with the Holiday Armadillo” at Alto Rooftop on Sunday, December 22 at 1pm! Come hear the story of Hanukkah as told by Santa's most trusted advisor! Phoebe has written a new holiday song and Monica and Ross have promised to bust out their award-winning moves! The entire trivia will consist of holiday-related episodes and happenings across all 10 seasons, with a round dedicated to the episode, "The One with the Holiday Armadillo”!

We went here for dinner at 5:30, so I it may not be true of a later crowded space, but the tapas & service were outstanding at that time. We can't wait to go back when the weather is better to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful views.

Came here as a group for the haunted brunch. We got a few spooky drinks and ordered some food. The rooftop is beautiful. The views are amazing. It's a very chill spot. The food portions were a bit small. So don't expect to get a full meal. Overall we enjoyed our brunch. Would definitely come again. Especially in the summertime

We went to the Masquerade Party and we had a blast. The DJ played all genres and the drinks were very good. The ambiance was full of positive energy! Very nice rooftop, you can see NYC!

We went for cocktails and enjoyed the stunning view of the city plus the gorgeous foliage. The server was very nice, the cocktails delicious and well crafted. We did not eat here but the food at the next table looked and smelled great! Would definitely come back for dinner and with friends.

I was hoping to be out on the dance floor dancing but the DJ kept changing the music every time people got up to dance. It seems like she had a mandate to just play music that people will not dance to, so they would stay in their sits eating and drinking.

The food left something to be desired, but the drinks and hospitality were great, as was the view and seating options. Let’s not forget about the music and ambiance, too.
