Amici Italian Restaurant, located on the corner of A1A and 312, has been part of the St. Augustine community for over 20 years. In 2020, local Award-winning Chef Freddy Underhill and his wife, Jennifer, purchased Amici with the hopes of carrying on it's legacy. However, 6 days in, they were shut down for dine-in service due to COVID-19. The new owners were motivated and are proud to have remained open to serve St. Augustine and the many visitors travelling through each year. Best known for their traditional Italian-American classics like lasagna, parmigiana and alfredo, locals love the Pancetta Candita (aka Candied Bacon) and the Boozy Tiramisu. Don't miss the best kept secrets though! Regulars love the 16+ oz. USDA Prime Ribeye and the Award-Winning Celery Datil Soup. Only three miles south of the historic district, Amici has plenty of parking and loves entertaining large parties. They are family-owned and operated and love to host other families!

                            I’ll start by saying this was Valentine Night. I waited too long to book dinner bc we weren’t going to go out of town but changed our minds last minute. We wanted something on the ocean side bc we had tix at the amphitheater, so early dinner. The hostesses are very young kids with attitude but we are used to that. This is more of a historical place. Your grandparents were probably here and they haven’t updated it. Chairs are metal/stuffed plastic backs and seat. We didn’t read the room and ordered the Vday specials (scallops w pasta artichoke hearts and short rib stuffed in cannelloni). Scallops were overcooked on one side and pasta was reheated but retained the form of the Tupperware it was kept in all day. (Inconsistent texture throughout). The cannelloni was really just cheese lasagna. Not much meat and filled with cheese lava. I’m guessing we should have ordered pizza or their spaghetti. Oh the Burrata Caprese was a pretty good starter and so we were hopeful. The savior of the night was the waiter. Great personality, kept checking on us, humble and prompt. We drank our way through dinner and left a lot of food. Wine was expensive for what you got but the mixed drinks were reasonable. If you go, keep your expectations down and spend very little. Stay away from the specials and you might be surprised.

                            Traditional Italian fare. The food was OK, not great - not terrible. The restaurant seems a little dated and needs a refresh. Service was good.

                            Food is great but the interior is very dated and the whole building needs to be renovated inside and out. Am sure the loyal locals don’t mind but state of the interior. But attracting and keeping new customers will be limited by the interior.

                            This restaurant was amazing two years ago. It must have undergone change of ownership because it's so different now. Prices are still high but food is now disappointing. Service was excellent and all employees very friendly.

                            I love the food here as I have been eating here since 2021 and Covid since the new owners bought it. The food is decent the place has gone downhill pretty badly.

                            We made a reservation at Amici and it was our first time there. We came to St Augustine to see the Christmas lights. Such fresh amazing food! Everybody's meal was delicious from Scampi to Fettuccini. But the highlight of our meal was the Limoncello cake. IT WAS DELICIOUS! They were out of Peanut Butter Pie so we are definitely coming back. Great restaurant for family meal, date night, or a business meeting.
