ARCA is a contemporary Mexican restaurant led by chef José Luis Hinostroza, featuring a unique style distinguished by a variety of cultural influences. Since its opening in 2015, ARCA has quickly become an essential and prominent part of Tulum's growing culinary scene. Our culinary and beverage offerings pay tribute to the region, using the finest products sourced from local beaches and farms. Furthermore, our menus are constantly updated to reflect the seasons and the availability of the freshest ingredients.

ARCA Restaurant ranks No. 28 on the Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants 2023 list, and ARCA’s bar holds No. 37 spot on North America`s 50 Best Bars list. ARCA is also recommended by the Michelin Guide Mexico.

                                        ** Michelin Guide ** not ** Michelin Star ** TL:DR 1.5 hours of broken dreams and heartache, no drinks and no food. Party of 4 for my birthday, ARCA did not give a fk about our reservation made week in advance. Upon arriving we were rudely told to wait in a huge line even with the reservation. We waited on the street for 20 mins before they told us we could go to the bar and wait for our table there. No space at the bar so we sat on some couches, in the end they should have just served us there. We were not offered drink service at the waiting area so we split our group and squeezed in at the bar to order drinks for our party, the bartenders took our drink order, 20 mins later still no drinks, so we ordered again with a different bar tender, another 20 mins and the drinks never showed, while we were failing to order drinks the rest of our party notices multiple tables getting seated that were behind us in the line. The place had a great atmosphere, it was busy and extremely well staffed. We didn't expect it to get worse. 20 more mins of waiting around with nothing and we announced we are leaving, they said no and that suddenly there was a table ready for us... we were hungry and i really wanted to believe, so we sat down and the waiter was great, but he explained that because we arrived so late, the kitchen was out of most items on the menu... we did not arrive late, we got fked around for 90 mins... so we ordered drinks and discussed whether it was worth it as we were all starving, 10 mins later still no drinks, we finally had enough and left to get pizza and go home. A really awful experience and funny enough the reason I chose to fly to tulum was to enjoy birthday dinner at ARCA ... I had heard such good things about it, so much for that plan. I understand that good places can have bad nights, but the level of this experience was beyond a one night mistake. Will not be back.

                                        Very good atmosphere with excellent service. The food was hit and miss with some items, the sea bass, being spectacular but the wagyu falling short by a long shot (chewy and needed cut which is not wagyu level steak) and some of the food being over salted. However, the staff heard our feedback with openness and removed the cost from our final bill.

                                        They were having a team meeting and making social media content and did not open the restaurant until 15 minutes after the reservation started. They were then extremely rude; the first words out of their mouths were that we had to leave within 90 minutes. Incense was blowing in giant gusts into our faces from the fireplace. Two dishes were tragically boring, one was good. We didn’t stay close to 90 minutes. The first five were more than enough. Busboys were friendly.

                                        Easily the best dining experience I've had in Tulum in years. The menu style, the pacing, the cocktails, the service, obviously the food... All impeccable. And as much as I hear people say Tulum is getting so expensive blah blah blah. I just had multiple courses and cocktails for almost half the price that the same meal would have cost me in NY at a Michelin recommended restaurant. Last time I checked that still makes it an incredible value. If you're looking for the lights out, special dinner out and perfect meal in Tulum I think this is it. I spent almost the same amount of money at Ilios for a much lower dining experience.
