At aRoqa, we embrace the notion Indian dishes can be served tapas-style and in small plate fashion for sharing, perfect for couples on date night or intimate parties. Chef Ajay brings an elevated approach merging Indian flavors with a global palate and creative twists throughout. Drawing upon the varied and distinct flavors of regional India, each dish is a blend of vibrant, balanced flavors beautifully composed.                                                                                                                 My girlfriend and I went to aRoqa for dinner before a Broadway show. Food was good, but the portions were pretty small. Everything came out in time for us to make our show and the wait staff was very friendly and provided their recommendations. Would return if back in Chelsea and in the mood for Indian.

                                                                                                                I will say that this was some of the best Indian food I have eaten in NYC during my 40 years in the city. The presentation was attractive, spicing was even-handed, and each bite was good. The staff was kind, thoughtful and attentive. However, neither the food nor the service was at the level of a Michelin-noted restaurant in my opinion, but I was charged for that. Before writing this, I spent time again on aRoqa's website and there was a level of attention to detail, particularly in photos of the food, that was missing last night. I hope some adjustments will be made as I would like to return. Thank you.

                                                                                                                Teeeific twist on contemporary Indian. Mushroom app a MUST. Really can’t go wrong with any choice. Luce was an excellent server and guided us beautifully through our choices. Gulab Jaman Crème Brûlée was a winner. We will be back!
