Realized too late that one of the entrees, their take on coq au vin was served without sauce. I had a taste and thought the chicken was a bit dry. Then looked up menu which mentioned sauce. Noticed too late to return it. Server called attention to manager. Comped us desert. Just desert, not coffees. $38 entree misfire. Should have taken off the bill. Haven’t been to this restaurant since they opened years ago. Too bad they don’t have their act together. Other food was very good.

Great service and the food was excellent. Sitting in the bar area definitely has a cozy, sexy winter vibe. A definite hit!

While expensive, the food, service and atmosphere are top-notch. A very nice place for a special occasion; we celebrated my birthday there. Recommended.

We have gone to the Artisan many times because the food is always excellent. Last night we went at the beginning of dinner service, 4:30, as we had originally intended to go for a late lunch but couldn’t get a reservation that worked. Our server was excellent, our meal was outstanding, the ambience was perfect and it was very quiet. I had a veal appetizer that is rarely on the menu and a codfish dinner with kale and potatoes that I would highly recommend. My husband had potato leek soup and pot roast and enjoyed both. There was also a choice of brownie sundae or cheesecake for dessert. One of the things I like about the Artisan is that you get reasonable sized portion of excellent food, more like eating in Europe. The one thing I would caution about is that we had the prix fixe menu with wine, which is rater expensive, but very good, the bill was $200.00. It would be significantly more ordering appetizers, main dishes and desserts off the regular menu. I also got the least expensive red wine, which was very good, but someone having a better wine or cocktails would have a significantly higher bill. Due to the expense, we usually limit our visits to special occasions, like our anniversary.
