Assembly is our late night, village Bar & Bistro in the heart of Low Bradfield, working the evening shift on behalf of The Schoolrooms! We also now serve Sunday roasts!
With the help of talented local chefs, we provide a superb dining experience for all occasions, putting a modern twist on traditional British dining.

    We were crammed on a table for 2 that shouldn’t really have been there. We were so close to the next table that we were practically eating with them. The chair I was sat in was wedged against a screen by the door and the table itself and so I had literally no room to move. They would be better getting rid of that particular table and giving diners a better experience. Very disappointing.

    The décor is really nice and the staff were initially attentive. Perhaps because it was busy, it got difficult to get service during the meal and at one point no serving staff came into the room we were in for maybe 15 minutes. The main problem is the Schoolrooms is trying to be all things. In itself this could be fine but to get from the dining areas upstairs to the exit or toilets you have to go trough the 'Taproom'. This is basically a hallway with a bar and by 8.30 it was very full of a very rowdy, very sweary group. I got the impression that these were regular customers. Not in itself a problem in the right place but not what you want when you are out for a family meal. Bit of a shame, but I will probably give it another go because it was value for money and the food was good.

    First time for Sunday lunch. My wife and I have been trying different places for the last few months and can honestly say that this was the best hands down. Everything was cooked to perfection and the service was stop on. We will be back with more members of our family.

    We had been meaning to come here for a while and it didn’t disappoint Fabulous Sunday Lunch & Fabulous Place. Waitresses were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be back.
