I decided to take my wife to this place for her birthday and it was quite disappointing. They sat us at a table where i was continuously bumped into and hit the whole night. When we went to order our food which was Brussels sprouts, octopus, tuna tartar and rice. The server took the order said we made good choices. He then came back and said they were out of Brussel sprouts. My wife took some time to think and then said okay I would like the Caesar salad. He came back a minute later again and said they were out of that as well. We ordered another salad. The food started to arrive and 20 minutes went by with the octopus still not at the table. We flagged down the server since he had not come to check on us to only discover he forgot to put in the octopus which is what my wife really wanted for her birthday. The salad was delicious though and the highlight of the experience.

I had high hopes for this restaurant after making a reservation four months in advance, but the experience left much to be desired. We arrived at 7:15 PM for a 7:30 reservation but weren’t seated until 7:45. Despite our planning, the table seemed hastily put together—it was cramped, positioned next to the kitchen and a wall, and left half our party squeezing to get in and out. The food, unfortunately, didn’t redeem the evening. At $30-$80 per plate, the quality was underwhelming and not worth the cost. To make matters worse, the restaurant was filled with smoke, likely due to a malfunctioning kitchen hood. The overwhelming smell of garlic and pepper made it feel like we were being pepper-sprayed. The staff had to prop open a door near our table to ventilate the space, leaving us exposed to the chilly air, which was particularly uncomfortable for my 85-year-old grandmother. The ambiance was another disappointment. The website suggests a relaxed, fine-dining atmosphere, but the reality was quite different. Loud, rowdy guests and music reminiscent of a nightclub clashed with any expectations of a refined dining experience. Overall, this was an incredibly disappointing visit. For the price and anticipation, the experience was far below standard.

My absolute favorite restaurant. We drive from Tampa to go to Ava. Service and Food are outstanding. My husband and I love this place. You will not be disappointed. Dress code? YES! Thank you for that Ava. If you insist on going out in public in your pajamas and crocs, skip Ava! Put yourself together, snappy casual with the coolest of vibes and plan on having an exceptional dining experience. ♥️

We can last night for my birthday and had the most amazing time. The food, the service , the experience was 10/10. The staff really did amazing making sure I had an amazing experience. Thank you ! I will be recommending everyone to this spot !

The food is great, ate here many times, what gets to me is that they ask for dress code but some of their tables do not have table cloth. Also, servers lean across the table to pour water instead al beverages, all empty plates, and utensils should be served from the guest's right. Just no etiquette.

In making my reservation 1 whole month in advance as well to mention in my reservation that it was to celebrate my wife’s birthday. I had hoped to experience the ambiance of the restaurant but unfortunately was seated at a round table that was in a corner where I had a view of the bar and door. To add injury to insult having acknowledged by the hostesses and server whom asked if it was I was our first time at this establishment and that we’re celebrating a birthday was extremely disappointed. Including to have been approached by another person from the bar to come over to the inconvenient seating to make unnecessary remarks. So I don’t see myself returning to this place ever again and will be voicing my experience on other platforms, Overall Highly disappointed with our experience !
