Back Table Kitchen & Bar

Back Table is a casually stylish, festive and family-friendly gathering place for seasonal, southern-inspired fare with global accents, including Blackened Redfish, Steak Frites and Braised Beef Short Ribs, plus daily specials and a variety of seasonal salads like Coal Roasted Beets & Farmer Lee's Spinach.

Overlooking the 18th green and pond located on the wooded oasis of The Woodlands Resort, Back Table Kitchen & Bar features an outdoor terrace, The Back Porch, to enjoy year-round.

An expansive, three-sided bar is a focal point of Back Table Kitchen & Bar. A full bar with beer taps with local, micro and domestic brews, complements a well-curated selection of wines, plus a clever assortment of craft cocktails and decadent milkshakes.

Private dining is available in the Private Dining Room, which accommodates 20+ for corporate events, wedding rehearsal dinners and other festive occasions.

The rating of fair was based on the true service provided when making a reservation. I called to ask what time dinner would be served we were told 4 PM. We arrived at 10 minutes before four and we were told that dinner was not served until five and you cannot order until 445 we had someone drive all the way from the Pearland area to meet us at dinner at four based on what the restaurant staff told us at that point we sat and ordered appetizers Which we would not done at dinner. to Take some time and wait until we were able to order from the dinner menu then we ordered our meal and dessert. The manager thanked us for staying, but never suggested comping an appetizer or anything based on the fact that we stayed and the manager even told us they have been having the same issue for 10 months with their personnel telling individuals that dinner started at 4. this was their issue not ours and the last comment Our reservation was marked that we were celebrating a birthday. There was no complementary dessert offered to the birthday person so my fair is based on Service.

We had a wonderful dinner. We were warmly greeted by Christy, who thoughtfully sat us at her favorite table. There was live music at the bar. She played the piano & has a beautiful voice - I didn’t catch her name but she was great. The music was not too loud for dinner & was a perfect addition to the evening. The Brussel Sprouts & Artichoke dip & chips are delicious. The bar manager answered questions about the custom barrel whiskey. We enjoyed the unique & very tasty spirits. The service was fantastic & we will absolutely be visiting again.

Overall the service was great the atmosphere was nice but sadly the food not so good. It wasn’t bad per se but it lacked flavor and was very bland. Plus for the cost of the NYE dinner “experience” it left a lot to desire. I don’t think I would come back to this restaurant

Resort was great..... Unfortunately my wife and I both had the worse experience we've ever had at a restaurant. We both dine out a couple of times a week for work or person. I reference this because that will tell you we've had a few bad experiences along the way. But this place was REALLY BAD!!! Very unfortunate for such a nice resort.

We wanted to sit by a window and the unpleasant receptionist chastised me for not not specifying my preference in my reservation. She wouldn’t seat us there. We had our 4 course dinner and the window seats were empty throughout the time we were there. She could have seated us and still lead the seats for those who did reserve them. She was so unfriendly.

Enjoyed Happy Hour on the outdoor patio. View and atmosphere were beautiful. Service was a bit slow but value of drink and food prices for happy hour were excellent.
